Description
Dear maintainers,
I own a WD external hard drive and smartctl works with -d sat, but not without:
smartctl 6.6 2016-05-31 r4324 [x86_64-linux-4.8.0-1-amd64] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-16, Bruce Allen, Christian Franke, www.smartmontools.org /dev/sdb: Unknown USB bridge [0x1058:0x25a1 (0x1005)] Please specify device type with the -d option. Use smartctl -h to get a usage summary
I've already submitted the drive to the USB ID database, where it was also missing.
I've attached smartctl -d sat -x and lsusb -v output with WWN and serial number censored.
Thanks!

Thanks. BTW,
smartctl -q noserial ...suppresses WWN and serial number.
