Description

Hello:

Attached please find smartctl -x data regarding the ADATA SP550 SSD, which is not in the database. This is the 240 GB model.

Here is a link to the spec sheet:

http://www.adata.com/downloadfile_driver.php?file=Datasheet_SP550_EN_20151223.pdf

It uses a new Silicon Motion SM2256 controller with new SK Hynix TLC flash.

There is an extensive review about it here with more information:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/adata-sp550-ssd,4296.html

If you need additional information, please let me know.

Thank you.

My apologies - for some reason when you request a short test on this drive with smartctl -t short, 2-3 tests start simultaneously and I see one was not complete by the time the first attachment was written.

I have added a second, updated attachment where the short test completed.

Hi, thank you for your report. Drive will be added.

P.S. Also it would be great if you can send report from the latest smartmontools. I see that in the reports its tryung to get SCT erc value from the drive which does not support it, so its interesting if its still an issue or not.

It is also clear that attrs

241 Total_LBAs_Written ------ 100 100 000 - 7169
242 Total_LBAs_Read ------ 100 100 000 - 7169

are Host_Writes_32MiB and Host_Reads_32MiB, because it is (469886128*512/(1024*1024))/32

We dont have any adata disk with such parameters in the DB, so probably we will create new entry for it. So it would be great if you can provide more information about the attributes.
You can also try to request them from ADATA support. Its also very likely that it is using same controller as this drive: http://www.cdrlabs.com/images/stories/reviews/crucial_bx200_ssd/crucial%20bx200%20se%20smart.png

Wow...that was fast. Thank you!

I've managed to get a report from the r4203 build and have attached it. I'll have to wait until the r4204 daily build is released to test with r4204 because I'm having an issue building from SVN (a GNU Automake issue I don't have the skill to resolve).

I will be sure to retest with r4204 and post the results.

Thanks again.

Test with r4203

Ok, thanks. It should show all values from r4204 (will be on a build host tomorrow) or just using latest drivedb.h
