Hi,
I want to setup amazon aws mail server as the mail configuration for smartd.
Is it possible? if yes what are the steps involved in achieving so?

Regarding your question - i would recommend to setup local mail server which will forward all outgoing mail to the AWS SMTP or to use any command line sending tool as an alternative.
