Status: newclosed

This is a known bug in the Intel 520 firmware 400i. New drives may start the Power On Hours counter with some bogus value ~89000. See also this thread in Intel support forum.

I will not implement an extra option for drive database to compensate this bug.

This device already implements new ATA ACS-2 Device Statistics feature. It reports a more reasonable Power On Hours value. Try "smartctl -l devstat ..." or "smartctl -x ...".
