Description
I was wondering if it would be possible to have areca support ported from the linux version to the windows version of smartmontools.

There is no known ATA pass-through support in the Areca Windows driver.

This would require ATA pass-through I/O-controls in the Areca Windows driver. AFAIK this support was never added. As an Areca user you might want to ask Areca support whether this has possibly changed.
