#1738 new enhancement

Better info for SAS drives

Reported by: Anthony D'Atri Owned by:

Description

SAS drives don't report much info compared to SATA - I have to believe that a lot of the same info is available in log pages, eg by running sg_logs(8). This ticket requests increased extraction, and ideally output in the same tabular format as we get for SATA drives.

ATA/SATA and SCSI/SAS (and NVMe) diagnostic information differ considerably and so do smartctl outputs.

Please retry with smartctl 7.4. There were many SCSI/SAS related enhancements since 7.1
