Replying to Christian Franke:

Hi, I had a few quick questions about these submissions that I made.

First, is a spec. sheet needed to show what attributes we (at Intel) want to be reported when a smartmontools command is run? We're looking to have some OEM specific Intel drives added, but we don't quite understand if we have to specify which attributes we want reported on when we run the smartctl -A /dev/sdX command.

Secondly, I was just curious about the status of these submissions and notifications for when the updates are made. Will they just be in the latest release or do you typically post to the ticket with the resolution? I ask simply because I'm not sure of the process. Thanks so much for your hard work and I hope my questions are appropriate. Thanks!

See changeset r4748 and the related tickets (#985, #912, #928, #1000) for an example workflow for a patch which was provided by someone at Intel :-)

Closing because I didn't follow the best procedure for getting the drives added. Will re-create ticket with each drive in the series' output and a tested drivedb.h edit.
