#242 wontfix Adding Support for USB 2.0 IDE Adapter (ID 05e3:0702) somebody sghpunk
Description

There is Genesys Logic, Inc. USB 2.0 IDE Adapter (ID 05e3:0702) described in wiki, that it is unsupported, and link to the mail archive. Ok, but why is it unsupported? There is no information in wiki. Is it impossible to add its support? I was reading datasheet http://www.datasheetcatalog.net/de/datasheets_pdf/G/L/8/1/GL811E.shtml And found that this bridge complies with ATA/ATAPI-6 specification rev 1.0, and ATAPI-6 includes S.M.A.R.T. support. I'm not an expert, though.

Add support to this bridge, please. Or if it is impossible to add, explain this in wiki.

#1144 fixed Adding TeamGroup L5Lite3D Christian Franke Sebastian Schildt
Description

Attached are all data I could find for a TeamGroup L5Lite3D (yes, they really call it that).

I got a 240GB version.

I attached the smartctl output, screenshots from the vendor tool (directly after I did the smartctl) and a file "Smart.def" I found in the Download folder of the vendor tool. Not sure if it can be trusted much (as the tool shows less, than is defined in Smart.def, and also TeamGroup claims their vendor tool is for "all their SSD", which I assume use different architecutres, as they mostly seem to sell whatever is cheapest...)

"Rumors" are this is a SilliconMotion-based design (_with_ DRAM cahche) but I could not verify. Maybe it helps matching the data to an existing drive

#328 fixed Adding aacraid device support to smartctl Christian Franke adityaseven
Description

This patch is to add aacraid device driver support to smartctl.

eg

smartctl -d aacraid,lun,ID /dev/sdx

where lun and ID for disks can be found either from

/proc/scsi/scsi

or using arcconf.

/dev/sdx is the raid disk created using Adaptec controllers
