#1378 fixed New device model: SanDisk SSD G5 BICS4 (aka WD Blue WDS100T2B0A) Christian Franke Claudio Kuenzler
Description

I have an interesting case here. I bought a WD Blue SSD with the Product Number WDS100T2B0A. Usually this shows up as Device Model "WDC WDS100T2B0A". However in this particular drive, manufactured in June 2020, the device model shows up as "SanDisk SSD G5 BICS4". It should be added to the "Marvell based SanDisk SSDs" in drivedb.

#1418 duplicate Self-test log life time resets after a certain Power_On_Hours value Claudio Kuenzler
Description

Just seen an interesting fact on a hard drive with a current Power_On_Hours value of 65966. I launched an extended offline test (using -t long) and the LifeTime (hours) column does not show the real Power_On_Hours value:

After scanning selected spans, do NOT read-scan remainder of disk.

It seems that the maximum Power_On_Hours value is 65535 (interestingly the same value as the maximum network port range). All values above that are shown as difference LifeTime (hours).

Is this a bug? Is this intended?

PS I Used smartctl 6.6 for this.
