| #1229 | fixed | Transcend TS256GMTS430S | ||
| Description |
I have a Transcend TS256GMTS430S, which is an M.2 2242 SATA SSD. This drive is not yet supported in the smartmontools drive database. I will attach the output of "smartctl -x" to this ticket. From what I can determine through testing and research, the SMART data for this drive is the same as for other Transcend SSDs (e.g., see ticket #869 - https://www.smartmontools.org/ticket/869). I found some datasheets on the Internet that show that the SMART attributes are consistent across the various Transcend SSDs. I did locate a Transcend datasheet for the S400 SSD series as well (of which I'm guessing the S430 is a member of) - see http://transcend-info.com/products/images/modelpic/645/TSXGMTS400_V1.9%20DATASHEET.pdf - the SMART attributes are provided on page 13 of this PDF. |

| Description |
I have a Kingston RBUSNS4180S3256GJ SSD, which is an m.2 SATA SSD Kingston provides to system builders (see https://media.kingston.com/pdfs/emmc/MKF-815_design-in_SSD_lr.pdf). This SSD appears to use a Phison controller like many other Kingston SSDs, as the SMART attributes correctly match (plus some vendors that are selling MKF-815 SSDs list them as having a Phison controller). I verified several SMART attributes as well and they appear correct (e.g., read Lifetime_Reads_GiB, Temperature_Celcius, etc.) This change to drivedb.h appears to properly enable support for this drive (and likely this family): --- smartmontools-7.1/drivedb.h 2019-12-28 13:40:37.000000000 -0800
