I've got following error for Seagate Backup Plus 1TB drive: /dev/sdb: Unknown USB bridge [0x0bc2:0xa013 (0x100)]

With -d sat it works properly: # smartctl -i /dev/sdb -d sat (...) Model Family: Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M8 (AFT) Device Model: ST1000LM024 HN-M101MBB (...)

The drive is not recognized by default, but by adding -d sat, it works.

It would be nice to integrate the corresponding checks into smartd.
